Björn is the Managing Partner of Alexander Hughes in Finland, Norway and Sweden. He has been 3 years within the Executive Search business, working as Senior Consultant, handling international assignments in the sectors of Finance, Life Science, Cleantech and Industry.
Björn has extensive experience from the financial sector, working more than 20 years on different management positions. He has also experience working internationally within the outsourcing business, holding a position as business director in a public company.
Previously Björn worked in the US company group Johnson & Johnson, where he was the regional manager in Sweden for Ortho Diagnostics.
He started his career in the Pulpwood industry acting as financial manager in a family own business.
Björn speaks English, French and German and holds a university degree in Business Administration from the University of Gothenburg. He has two daughters. |

Markku is a Senior Consultant at Alexander Hughes in Finland. He started his executive search career with Korn/Ferry International where he was Client Partner in the Firm’s Helsinki office and member of the global consumer market practice group of the Firm.
Markku brings almost two decades of experience in marketing, business development and customer relationship management to his clients. He focuses on senior level-searches across a variety of industries and functions spanning from general management and strategic roles to front-line operational roles. His particular emphasis is in the consumer marketplace, including consumer products, retail and media.
Before entering executive search Markku worked in a variety of industries and markets from plastic pipe manufacturing to retail and publishing industries, including serving as marketing director for the Reader’s Digest group in the Scandinavian region.
Outside the Nordic Markets his experience covers the Baltic countries, where he previously worked as the marketing director for the distance and online retail division of Stockmann Plc, where he was responsible for the developing the commercial activity for the Finnish and Baltic Markets.
Markku holds a master’s degree in marketing from the Helsinki School of Economics. |
