Irem Onen is the Managing Partner of the newly opened offıces of Alexander Hughes Turkey.
Prior to joining Alexander Hughes, Irem was a Senior Advisor in Global Consulting Group's Istanbul office in its Investor Relations Practice. She has over 10 years of experience in various financial consulting and banking roles spanning a number of industries, including consumer products, diversified industries, and telecom & media. Before GCG, she held various positions at ABN AMRO's Istanbul office in Portfolio Management as well as Citigroup's New York office in its Investment Banking and Fixed Income Practices.
Irem is an MBA graduate of the Mc Donough School of Business at Georgetown University and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Mathematics from Duke University. She is bilingual in Turkish and English and has a working knowledge of French. |

Can Önen joined the newly opened offices of Alexander Hughes Turkey as a Senior Advisor. Mr. Önen is the country manager for The Global Consulting Group, an international investor relations consultancy headquartered in New York. His responsibilities include marketing IR and PR services to Turkish firms, working with clients to formulate IR strategies and assisting with the daily implementation and communication issues. Mr. Önen also has experience as a broker and junior portfolio manager on Wall Street and worked for the Anne McBride Company, now part of The Global Consulting Group, in New York for seven years where he ran the Eastern European IR practice.
Can Önen possess exposure to various industries, including
telecommunications, finance and IT. Prior to becoming The Global Consulting Group's representative in Turkey, Can was a member of the finance team at Sabancı Holding, one of the largest diversified conglomerates in Turkey. Can Önen holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Boston University and an Executive MBA from New York University's Stern School of Business. |
