Terry is the Managing Partner in the South African office. He has successfully partnered with client companies throughout Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, Europe and the USA. A University of Cape Town graduate with over twenty years verified management and executive recruitment experience.
He successfully managed and later sold a recruitment company before founding Valinger Executive Search in 2002. Valinger choose to merge with Alexander Hughes in 2009.
Terry works with some of Africa’s market leaders in investment banking, Information Communications and Technology (ICT), media, fashion retail, consumable goods, engineering, production and manufacturing on retained search assignments covering top executive positions across all operational functions. |

Edwin heads up the Johannesburg operations of Alexander Hughes South Africa, which in turn, directly services clients throughout both South Africa and Africa alike.
He has held various board positions including the American Chamber of Commerce, South African Contact Centre Community, a Foundation for the Development of Africa, Africa-connect and the Creative Alliance Group. His career includes working for many blue-chip organisations. Also, he recently established World Cup Business where he served as CEO culminating in the sale of the intellectual capital to Deloitte during the build-up to the 2010 World Cup.
He also been appointed as COO for a firm closely associated with FIFA, then served as advisor to the CEO of a listed technology services group and most recently contributed to the development of ‘Green Technology and Power’ solutions for Africa.
Edwin schooled at Diocesan College (Bishops) in Cape Town, holds an MBA from Rochville University (USA). He was nominated as a FutureWorld Guru by Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu. |
