Ozlem Ozyigit

Ozlem Ozyigit has more than 30 years of experience in private and public consultancy in Turkey and overseas, at investment banks, private companies and NGOs including board-level responsibilities. She has strong local and international know-how and experience in more than 10 industries in corporate advisory, equity offerings, M&A, private equity, strategy design, corporate transformations, change & risk management, value creation and ESG practices.

Ozlem started her professional career in 1991 at SAMBA-Saudi American Bank, a Citibank affiliate. After her master degree in USA, she first joined GARANTI BBVA Investment Bank, then QNB Finansbank group where she worked for 15 years and provided consultancy to local and MNCs in M&A, public offerings, private equity, privatization, project finance, financial advisory, and corporate governance projects.

Between 2011 and 2020, she served as the CEO and Secretary General of the YASED International Investors Association, one of the most reputable NGOs of the business world representing 85% of the international investors in Turkey. She developed and disseminated policies and recommendations to the government and created notable influence to support the MNCs’ investment and growth policies in Turkey. She has high level relations with the most important governing bodies and key decision makers of the government, including the Presidency, the Parliament, the Ministries as well as international financial institutions (World Bank, IFC, EBRD), local and international business world, public and media to improve the business and investment climate in Turkey.

In addition to her senior advisor role at Alexander Hughes, Ozyigit is currently Board Advisor at TEB Investment/BNP Paribas JV and Board Member in A-Partners Business Solutions. In TEB/BNP Paribas, she supports the client relationships as a senior banker/advisor in investment banking and risk management.

She is the Vice Chair of The Board Directors Association of Turkey (BDA) which supports the formation of active and professional boards for sustainable growth. BDA is a member of Global Network of Director Institutes (GNDI). She is also a member of PWN (Professional Women’s Network) and Vice Chair of the Fulbright Alumni Association.

Ozlem Ozyigit graduated from Bogazici University, Business Administration in 1991 with the 3rd highest GPA. She completed her Master of Science in Finance at Georgia State University, Atlanta, USA, in 1994, double majoring in Corporate Finance and Banking, with a Fulbright scholarship being one of the 2 scholars selected in Turkey in 1992.
