Patrick Koffi Placktor appointed French Foreign Trade Advisor: a strengthened commitment to promoting the French economy internationally

Paris, January 2026 – The Alexander Hughes Group, founded by Maurice Rozet and its CEO Julien Rozet, is proud to announce the appointment of Patrick Koffi Placktor, Managing Partner Africa Desk, as French Foreign Trade Advisor (CCE). He joins other prominent members of the group already engaged in this mission, such as Myriam Le Cannellier, Eric Nozière, and Jean-Marie Simon, whose careers illustrate the concrete impact of the CCEs on the internationalization of French companies.

A unique institution serving the French economy

The Foreign Trade Advisors form a unique institution, composed of women and men who hold positions of responsibility within companies or organizations that contribute to the international influence of the French economy. As volunteers, they work in partnership with public and private actors to:

  • Advise public authorities on international issues,
  • Support companies in their development abroad,
  • Train young people internationally,
  • Promote the attractiveness of France.

An expert committed to Africa and the international community

Patrick Koffi Placktor is a recognized expert in identifying and recruiting talent for the African continent. He is particularly dedicated to expanding the Group’s presence in Africa by supporting the recruitment operations of major international groups’ subsidiaries in Africa.

His commitment also extends to his involvement in international economic, academic, and think tank networks, such as:

  • CIAN (French Council of Investors in Africa),
  • MEDEF (Advisor to the Paris Labor Court),
  • WIA (Women in Africa),
  • ABC (African Business Club/ESCP),
  • Senghor University (Alexandria/Egypt), where he teaches.

Within the CCEs, Patrick will put his expertise and network to work on key missions:

  • Advising public authorities (feedback from the field, sector analysis, international issues),
  • Mentoring and knowledge transfer (supporting young people, sharing experiences),
  • Training and experience sharing (presentations, awareness-raising, academic or professional contributions).

A collective commitment within the Alexander Hughes Group

Patrick joins Myriam Le Cannellier, Executive Director of Alexander Hughes USA and CCE since 2011, on the Midwest Committee. She chaired this committee from 2017 to 2025 and actively participated in the North America commission, regularly organizing events to strengthen trade between France and the United States. She remains very committed to the issues of international youth training and business support.

Eric Nozière, Head of the US Desk at Alexander Hughes in Paris, has been a CCE since 2003. He has contributed to major projects in several regions (Toronto, Tokyo, Atlanta, New York), notably by advising mid-sized companies on their establishment in the United States and participating in the CCE’s global discussions on AI and the environment. In the past, he has also worked to integrate International Corporate Volunteers (VIE) into his teams.

Jean-Marie Simon, Managing Partner of Alexander Hughes France, is a committed figure in the economic and institutional life of Val d’Oise and Île-de-France. Currently Chairman of the Val d’Oise Foreign Trade Advisors Committee, he also serves as Secretary of the Île-de-France Committee, where he has been sharing his expertise for many years. His career as an advisor began in January 1994, when he was first appointed to Norway, marking the start of a long-standing commitment to economic development, business support, and student training.

Joining the French Foreign Trade Advisors is a source of pride and responsibility. My goal is to strengthen ties between Africa and France by sharing my expertise and supporting companies in their international development. In this period of profound geopolitical upheaval, I am convinced that the development of sustainable partnerships based on reciprocity, innovation, training, entrepreneurship, and knowledge transfer is a powerful lever for accelerating, balancing, and normalizing economic exchanges between our regions, particularly between France and Africa. “Patrick Koffi Placktor, French Foreign Trade Advisor.

With his entrepreneurial background and expertise in Africa, Patrick will be able to engage in active and pragmatic collaboration within the CCE network to promote foreign trade development, offering tailored support to French export companies.
