Presently, he is the Herald of the Swedish Royal Orders of Chivalry.
Between 2015 and 2023, Arnell worked in the defense sector as Deputy Secretary-General for the Swedish Soldiers Homes Association 2019–2023 and successfully lead local reestablishment as part of the reintroduction of conscriptions service. Between 1995 and 2014 he worked in the education, research, and culture, mainly as Political Advisor in the Parliament Chancery of the Christian Democrats.
Jonas holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Linköping University and bachelor’s degree in social science from Stockholm University
Arnell is a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland and of the Society of Science in Lund.
Jonas is an expert in the field of phaleristics (orders and medals) in Sweden.
He is fluent in English and has a basic understanding of French.
