With more than 38 years of professional experience and extensive tenure as CEO of global companies, he seeks to contribute to industrial innovation from another perspective by discovering and supplying top-tier talent in advanced manufacturing industries such as semiconductors, automotive, EV battery, machinery, oil & gas, Industrial technology, Power & energy and shipbuilding etc.
Over the past 15 years, Sam has served as the Country Manager in Korea for two global companies headquartered in Germany and the United States, respectively, which are specializing in laser-equipped machine tools and industrial automation solutions. Through strategic thinking and a customer-oriented mindset, he not only achieved the industry’s top business performance but also demonstrated successful leadership by laying the foundation for the company’s sustainable growth through innovative talent development, organizational culture, learning organization initiatives, effective organizational management, and the pursuit of change.
Prior to that, after graduating from university, he joined a major Korean conglomerate and began his career as an R&D engineer for core control systems in factory automation. While carrying out roles in Sales & Marketing, Strategic Business Planning, and Overseas Business, he developed a broad understanding of various organizational functions within the company.
Afterwards, he continued to build his career in two Korean small and medium-sized enterprises, taking on diverse positions including Customer Experience, Manufacturing Operations, and Business Development, ultimately developing his career up to the role of CEO.
Sam graduated from Yonsei University with a bachelor of Electrical Engineering, completed an Online MBA program, and has undertaken various leadership, innovation, change, and professional training programs. He also holds a coaching certification from the Korea Coach Association.
He is native Korean, fluent in English and has conversational proficiency in Japanese.
